Sam Lin

Sam Lin is the Head of Engineering at Pixieset, a software platform trusted by millions of photographers and their clients worldwide. Joining Pixieset in 2015 when it was just the two co-founders, Sam has been fortunate to contribute to its growth from its earliest days. Over the past ten years, he has developed, managed, and coached individuals and has led the Engineering team for the last four years, overseeing development, QA, and DevOps. With Pixieset's software operating 24/7at the core of a photographer's business, Sam's leadership helps ensure the platform scales seamlessly to meet the demands of its global user base. Drawing from his experience as a former wedding and portrait photographer and videographer, he deeply understands the workflows and needs of photography businesses, which helps shape the company's engineering and product strategies.

Before Pixieset, Sam gained valuable experience at TELUS, where he contributed to large-scale projects in Customer Experience and Business Systems. These roles honed his skills in project management, system optimization, and customer-focused solutions, laying the groundwork for his success in scaling Pixieset's engineering operations.

Sam holds a BSc in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia. Based in Vancouver, BC, he enjoys exploring the world with his family, including his two young children, and bringing his passion for innovation and storytelling into every aspect of his work.
